Mother’s Day is just around the corner! From movie nights to brunch outings, Clermont County offers a number of events for the entire family.

 

Visit Clermont County parks this weekend to enjoy nature during these mild temperatures. Those seeking more hands-on activities can check out upcoming festivals and art showings.

 

Imagination Unleashed Art Show and Open House

Friday, May 8, from 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

 

Hope Community Center in Amelia is proud to host its Imagination Unleashed art gallery and open house this Friday. The event gives members an opportunity to debut and sell their works to visitors while celebrating their progress toward recovery.

 

Guests can enjoy live entertainment, a facility tour, and more while supporting mental health services in Clermont County.

 

No RSVP required.

 

 

Family Movie Night at Veterans Memorial Park

Saturday, May 9, starting at dusk.

 

Residents can visit Union Township’s Facebook page to vote for the movie they want to see on Saturday: Angry Birds 2 or Turbo.

 

Organizers suggest families bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, drinks, and snacks to get the most out of this laid-back showing in Veterans Memorial Park.

 

Movie nights at the park are free, with ample parking on and around Clough Pike.

 

55th Annual Appalachian Festival

Saturday, May 9 & Sunday, May 10, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

 

It’s almost time to experience rich rural and indigenous cultures through the largest Appalachian festival in the region.

 

Visitors can create unforgettable memories by exploring the long-respected traditions of Appalachia while also enjoying great food, artisan shops, and entertainment. The event takes place along the Ohio River in New Richmond's business district.

 

General admission prices for adults 18 and up are $15 (plus processing fees for credit card payments). Tickets for kids ages 5 -7 are $5; children 4 and under can attend for free! Event organizers also provide parking in designated lots and a shuttle service behind IGA at the ballfields on State Route 52.

 

Mother's Day Brunch at the Oasis Conference Center

Sunday, May 10, starts at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

 

Oasis Conference Center will be hosting its 2026 Mother’s Day brunch (with a special mimosa welcome upon arrival).

 

The brunch menu will include a delectable selection of turkey, eggs, French toast, fresh fruit, pastries, and more! Guests can take in the beautiful scenery around Oasis while sharing a filling meal with friends and family.

 

Adults can register online for $40 each, and children under 12 can attend for $15.
